One of the wonderful things about summer is all the fresh fruit that’s suddenly in season. Cherries, berries, melons- we love it all. We were so inspired, in fact, by all the ripe fruit we started to see at our local markets, that we asked our graphic artists to create a vintage-inspired fruit print just for us!

Fruit-prints, like ours (you can get it here), grew in popularity in the 1950’s and 60’s, popping up everywhere from apparel to kitchenware. In fact, we think the kitchen is a great place to incorporate this summery motif into your decor. Just look at all these great kitchen accessories we’ve been seeing:

Of course, we have to give some credit to the grande dame of fruit accessories, the multi-talented Carmen Miranda, the “lady in the tutti-frutti hat.”
